One of the big benefits of tagging every interaction is the sheer amount of data collected.
To analyze the data, every interaction needs to report two pieces of information.
What interaction happened, and where it happened.
Component Analytics gathers these by defining two types of Components:
- Interaction Component: The component a customer interacts with. A rule of thumb is that these are clickable. E.g. button and link.
- Layout Component: A component that contains one or more Interaction Components. E.g. cards, menus, and tables.
The Interaction Component tells you what, by defining the button clicked on. The Layout Component tells you where the button resides.
Analyzing a customer’s interactions gives you a better grasp of their behavior. The behaviors of many customers turn into insights.
These insights allow you to better serve your customers.
