The anatomy of a Module

I know, I know, the favorite subject you had in school was anatomy.

Seeing the body pump blood through it’s organs was exciting!

Did that gross you out? Fear not, the anatomy of a Module contains no blood.

Modules are composed of Layout Components, Interaction Components, and content*.

If we take a this card represents a social media post, you can see every part of the module.

Highlighted in green, everything clickable is an Interaction Component.

They’re all laid out with a Layout Component, highlighted in blue.

Component Analytics sees every site as composed of Modules.

That’s how it simplifies the data collection part of the analytics.

Component Analytics is about tagging the modules on your site, and the interactions will follow suit.

That means, adding new interactions to a Module is automatically tagged.

Saving your analysts and developers a lot of time.
