When you tag every interaction, the interaction may contain sensitive data.
The content of the Interaction Component may include PII*.
This is less of an issue when we tag manually, as we decide what we each click reports.

For example, after the customer logs in, the site displays their name as a link. The link takes the customer to a page where they can update their contact information.
If the customer clicks here, you will have logged their name.
Having PII* in your analytics suite may be in violation of the terms of service.
You have to consider how to securely handle the customer’s information.
In a future post, I’ll show you how Component Analytics allows us to anonymize this information.
But not only that, we’ll anonymize it in a way that is aggregatable.
