Solving an identified problem – Usability testing

After a problem has been identified, you may need more information from users.

Usability testing is a great tool here.

In a usability testing session, your designer asks a user to perform a series of tasks on the site.

They then observe the user attempting the tasks to see what hurdles they encounter.

Sometimes, they can’t finish the task at all.

Usability testing is extremely helpful, as they give you insight into real-user behavior.

Designing a usability test and then finding participants, 5 is enough, may take time.

Doing this from time to time gives you a good understanding of your users.

Which can supplement the knowledge gathered from analytics.
