Component Analytics Anonymization – Components Approach

When setting up anonymization, take an inventory of your Layout Components.

Check if they contain any Interaction Components that contain PII* in their content.

If the layout contains no Interaction Components with PII, we call it a Safe Component.

After we’ve finished taking an inventory, we add all the Safe Components to a whitelist.

Any component inside the whitelist can report its content freely.

If the component isn’t defined in the whitelist, it reports its content as sensitive.

For example, if you have an account list component like the one above, the data is reported like this.

• Interaction type: click
• Interaction Component content: sensitive
• Layout Component name: account list
• Where in the Layout Component: row 2
