Component Analytics example: the product listing

Imagine you’re on a product listing page and click on a product.

If Component Analytics is implemented on the page. The interaction may be reported like this

• Interaction Component name: button
• Interaction type: click
• Interaction Component content: Add to cart
• Layout Component name: product card
• Layout Component title: Dress shoes
• Where in the Layout Component: 1 ( It’s the first item in the list )

If you follow a customer journey and see the interaction above, you can’t mistake it for anything else but a click on the “add to cart” button on dress shoes product.

Tomorrow I will show an example of how the layout component clarifies where a click happens.
